A Day In My Hair | Cecred Hair care
Having 4 c hair doesn't have to be high maintenance. I'm in a low-maintenance "lazy natural" era of my hair journey and this is my weekly routine.

I’ve done this EXACT routine for years! Never knew it was a method. I must have 4a bc I can go for 5 days before I have to do this method again but my son has a coarser texture so we may have to do this for him.

Is there a relaxer that is safe and doesn't have formaldehyde?!?!?! Instead of all these people trying to brow beat Black Women to just "love the hair God gave them," why can't someone come up with an ACTUAL PRODUCT to do this safely?!?!?!?

You can buy pure rosemary oil for less. You can also make this oil. I use pure rosemary oil and Ors temple balm and my hair is growing bk from traction alopecia. I had a bald spot. When I’m finished, I’ll make my rosemary and coconut oil infused oil. Very inexpensive. I luv the was rosemary make my scalp dance ( tingle ).

10:25 my daughter has a whole head of very fine hair. 😢 I’ve learned that’s it’s best to detangle her hair while DRY, and with a good boar brush and THEN a comb. Brush, then comb to see if all the range are out. Fine hair is something else!

The Lois hair chart makes 0 sense because it’s jumbled up. 1-4 makes type 4 the most coily while 1 is bone straight. This will just make everyone choose O type hair even thought they are L because they are type 4. Literally just made for self hating 4C hair people.

How about stop following trends like no oils no butters. It didn’t make sense to me so I didn’t follow it. That particular trend has damaged so many black women’s hair, and set their hair journey back years! 🤦🏽‍♀️ 😢

but...don't we all know our hair doesn't need to be washed daily? Not good for us. I think this is just a great way to sell unnecessary product to black women and make lots of money on us.

I see different blogs and vlogs showing examples that look so wildly different for the same types that I think the range from 3c to type 4a or even 4b seems somewhat meaningless in general. This video just confirms that in so many ways. I'm not knocking anyone's channel or page, but frankly I feel like a lot of experts and professionals or influences are going to look at my hair and say different types and with so much confidence!

This video just saved my hair. The thumbnail picture was the hook. My hair is a tangled mess. I was SERIOUSLY thinking of using a relaxer with conditioner to soften, slightly straighten and detangle. I wont be doing that. I will do step 2 and 3

I found your page today. I've watched a few videos and I'm liking it! One thing though. Lots of natural hair videos and pages misrepresent the hair float test. Very few of us seem to know about water surface tension. This is what allows leaves and insects to float on top of the water. To do this test correctly the hair has to be submerged to break to surface layer. If this step is skips the results will be flawed.

Indigenous copper colored peoples of Turtle Island the Niiji misclassified as African American black mulatto negro etc on the US census records were already in the lands known as the Americas before the Eurasian colonizers came to take over their lands and identity. African American is a misnomer. The Amerindians are of Afro-Asiatic peoples (hamitic-Cush/Cushites /Ethiopians,and possibly japhethic and some semetic bloodlines -Gen 10;11:1-9) The term black is a social construct status meaning nonexistent or dead under the color of law black codes (Civility Mortuus) and has no legal standing and is actually a derogatory term. Black is a color not a race ethnicity nor nationality. The transatlantic slave trade has been debunked and told in reverse. The transpacific slave trade took place. I have a problem with men telling women what to do with their bodies and hair. You have a gay white man that has hair that curls with water only telling blk women what to do with their hair. I wash my 4c hair once a week doing a wash and go for 8 yrs and I now have 17 inches of hair not stretched and it’s very healthy. I learned all this from natural blk women. Almost everything he said, my hair works the opposite way. Men need to stay in their lane.

This irritates me so bad.We are letting someone else come and say that they something different. There's nothing different.I was one of the first people to experiment with jerry curls back in the day.I even won curl contest with soft sheen. No one ever suggested for anyone to wear a captivate. That's something to people.Did no one ever suggested that you had to have a dripping wet?I wore one and nobody knew what I had and always got plenty of compliments. This is just someone reinventing herself. And using a product that was about to go extinct. I don't blame her for trying to make money. But she is not doing anything different. There's no differences, none whatsoever.

I know this video is four years old but it is so relevant to the natural hair community, especially for those of us that have dominant 4C strands. I think the categorizing of hair types is equivalent to race and culture. Another form of separation and classism making one group more acceptable than another. That is the last thing we need in the melanated community. I've been on my natural hair journey for almost 20 years and I'm still learning more reasons to love the crown God blessed me with. I am not interested in comparing my hair to anyone else's, and neither do I care what anyone else thinks of my hair, that includes stylists, no it alls, and any spewing negativity. Thank you @LaToyaEbonyHair for setting the record straight with facts. Keep doing what you're doing, your truth is inspiring!

We tend to manipulate our hair into a state that is unnatural for it's type. It's trying to get 4c to be 3a. Since I've been wearing my hair in it's natural state I have been so much happier. Life is good. I love my 4c hair. I get compliments on my hair. Did I say Life Is Good? it is.

True 4c girl here 🙋🏾‍♀! I exclusively wear WAG's and have done so for about 5 years. My hair is much longer than in my profile pic and the goal of maintaining a WAG is how you dry it and sleep on it. I sit under a hooded dryer for at least 30 min then diffuse the roots to lock in the curl. I sleep on a satin pillowcase. When my hair was shorter, I slept on it as is. As it got longer, I started to sleep in a pineapple (a buff is the best option for that, NO BONNETS, they mess with the shape of the hair cause it's just running wild and tangling up in that thing). Now that my hair is shoulder length, I wear my hair in a low ponytail to keep it stretched downwards. It's not a tight hold, just enough to keep it together. When I wake up I take the ponytail out and let it expand on its own or let the steam of the shower wake it up. Hope this helps ☺

I never stopped using hair “Grease.” My hair has always thrived since I was a little girl. hair grease has always been a staple in our household. Yup! Prell shampoo and grease! Royal Crown, Queen Bergamot. Dax, Sufur 8, etc.
